Distinguished by its handcrafted stone arch façade and traditional Italian-inspired design, this premium model delivers the kind of authentic wood-fired cooking experience typically reserved for artisan pizzerias—while serving as a stunning architectural focal point in your outdoor space.
Built for serious pizza enthusiasts, the Pizzaioli Stone Arch Premium is engineered specifically for true Italian-style pizza cooking. The result is authentic high-heat performance designed to replicate traditional Italian brick oven cooking at home.
Handmade in Portugal using authentic fire brick and mortar, this oven is crafted with genuine refractory materials rather than lower-grade clay alternatives. A triple-insulated construction helps retain exceptional internal heat while keeping the exterior cooler to the touch, delivering both superior thermal efficiency and long-lasting durability. Every layer of its construction is designed to maximize performance, consistency, and longevity.
Beyond pizza, the Pizzaioli Stone Arch Premium offers remarkable versatility for outdoor cooking. Owner Questions & Cooking Tips
What makes the Pizzaioli design ideal for Italian-style pizza?
Its lower dome and wider opening help direct intense heat toward the oven floor, creating the high-heat environment needed for authentic Neapolitan-style cooking.
Is the Stone Arch Premium purely cosmetic, or does it affect performance?
The stone arch primarily enhances aesthetics, giving the oven a more architectural, old-world appearance while maintaining the same high-performance Pizzaioli cooking design.
Why does authentic brick matter?
Authentic fire brick and mortar provide superior heat retention, durability, and cooking performance compared to lower-grade clay ovens.
Does the oven require weather protection?
Yes. To maintain long-term performance and appearance, the oven should be protected from rain, snow, leaves, and harsh weather when not in use.
What should I consider before buying a pizza oven?
Before purchasing, consider where the oven will be installed and ensure the base or structure can support the weight of the oven. Many homeowners integrate their oven into an outdoor kitchen or dedicated cooking station. In addition to its cooking performance, a wood-fired oven adds ambiance and becomes a beautiful focal point for outdoor gatherings.

What can I cook in a wood-fired pizza oven?

-
Artisan breads
-
Roasted chicken and turkey
-
Steak, burgers, and lamb
-
Fish and seafood
-
Vegetables

The ceramic baking dish included with the oven is designed for oven-to-table use. Proper care instructions are provided here to help maintain its appearance and performance over time.
How long does it take for the oven to heat up?
When properly prepared, the oven typically reaches pizza-baking temperatures in approximately 45 minutes to 90 minutes. Using properly stacked hardwood and a strong starter flame will help the oven reach optimal cooking temperatures more quickly.
A properly built fire is the heart of the experience. Follow this guide to achieve ideal temperatures and consistent results every time.
What type of flour works best for pizza?
Great pizza begins with high-quality flour. Many pizza enthusiasts prefer traditional pizza flours such as 00 flour, or high-quality artisan brands like King Arthur Flour or Hayden Flour Mills. These flours help create the light, crisp crust typical of authentic wood-fired pizza.
The secret to unforgettable pizza starts here. Discover how to prepare dough that delivers the perfect balance of texture, structure, and flavor.
What tools are recommended for cooking with a pizza oven?
A few basic tools will make cooking easier and more enjoyable:
-
Pizza peel (wood or metal) for placing and removing pizzas
-
Oven brush for cleaning ash from the cooking surface
-
Pizza turning tool or bubble popper
-
Ash shovel for removing leftover ash
These accessories help maintain the oven and make cooking more efficient.
Care & Maintenance
Should the pizza oven be covered when not in use?
If the oven is exposed to the elements, it should be protected with a weather-resistant cover. Occasional exposure to rain is not harmful, but the oven should not remain wet for extended periods. Protecting the oven helps preserve its appearance and long-term performance.
Can a pizza oven be used during the winter?
Yes. Wood-fired ovens can be used year-round. In colder weather the oven may take slightly longer to reach cooking temperature, but performance remains excellent once heated.
What type of wood should be used?
For best results, use dry hardwoods such as:
-
Oak
-
Maple
-
Apple
-
Walnut
-
Mesquite
Avoid softwoods like pine or spruce, as they contain resins that produce excessive smoke. Coal is not recommended for this type of oven.
Are wood-fired pizza ovens safe?
When used properly, wood-fired ovens are safe and reliable cooking appliances. Always follow local fire regulations and ensure proper ventilation. Installing a chimney cap with a spark arrestor is recommended for additional safety.
How far should the oven be from a house or structure?
The oven should typically be installed at least 3 feet away from nearby structures to allow proper airflow and ventilation. Always verify and follow local building or fire safety regulations.
How do I clean the oven?
Cleaning is simple. After the fire has completely burned out and the oven has cooled, sweep or shovel out the remaining ash. The interior cooking surface naturally self-cleans during high-temperature burns.
Will the oven develop cracks?
Small surface cracks are normal in traditional brick ovens due to repeated heating and cooling cycles. These cracks are typically cosmetic and do not affect cooking performance. A maintenance patch kit is included if cosmetic repairs are desired.
What is oven curing and is it required?
Yes. The curing process removes residual moisture from the mortar and helps protect the oven’s long-term performance. Curing involves building a series of gradually increasing fires over several days before regular cooking begins.
